113 - 19th Century Indian Tulwar or Talwar with Gold Damascene Hilt along with a Silk Scabbard and Sash. The Inside of the Guard is Signed in Either Hindi or Panjabi Script. The Right Side of the Blade is Stamped by the Sword Maker, but is Illegible due to Surface Rust. Additionally, the Blade Has a Very Sharp Edge. The Sword is in Overall Good Condition with Minor Areas of Chipping to the Blades Edge Along with Surface Rust and Pitting. Scabbard is Missing the Section that Houses the Tip of the Blade and the Silk Covering and Sash is Worn and Brittle. The Blade Measures 31 Inches in Length and the Overall Length Measures 37 Inches from Point to Pommel. Provenance: from the Collection of The Count de Rosiere.
