237 - Rare Pair of Circa 1900 American Heavily Carved Robert Mitchell High-Back Oak Throne Chairs. Each Chair is Profusely Carved with Six (6) Lions/Griffins Heads and Four Large Claw Feet. These Exact Chairs are Pictured in the 1902 Robert Mitchell Catalog and were Offered in Oak and Mahogany in Various Finishes. Each Chair Retains its Original Finish, Some Carving Loss to the Aprons of Each Chair Otherwise in Very Good Condition. Each Measures 50 Inches Tall by 26 Inches Across and 22 Inches Deep.
